Introduction to French Baking

Come and embrace yourself in the delights of French baking. 

On this jam-packed 1-day workshop, our professional tutors will teach you all the skills and knowledge to turn your kitchen into your very own Boulangerie. 

You will make:

  • A classic French baguette; learn how to create a perfect crispy crust and distinct flavour. 
  • A fougasse loaf; a beautiful bread usually shaped into a distinct, symmetrical pattern.
  • A wonderfully buttery brioche; learn how to balance a light and airy crumb with a rich dough.
  • Delicious Financier cakes; these are small, light almond cakes are perfect for an afternoon tea

Based in our AgriFood Centre, you'll experience a fantastic day in professional training kitchens with likeminded individuals. Gain practical bakery tips from our expert lecturers with a wealth of industry experience, and learn the intricacies of creating true French bakery masterpieces.

Who is a one day workshop suitable for?

A One Day workshop is an experiential day for individuals with limited to no knowledge of the area being covered.  It is a fun social unaccredited course that could be suitable to be given as a gift or to join in order to meet likeminded people.
