Course Overview

Course Description

Wildflower meadows are not only visually stunning, but they also play a crucial role in supporting local ecosystems by providing food and shelter for pollinators, birds, and other wildlife. Whether you have a small garden or a large plot of land, establishing a wildflower meadow is a rewarding way to contribute to biodiversity and enjoy a low-maintenance, natural landscape.

During this one-day course, you will learn about the key principles of wildflower meadow creation, including site selection, soil preparation, and seed selection. We will discuss the importance of choosing native wildflower species, understanding their growth cycles, and how to create a balanced mix of grasses and flowers. You will also receive practical guidance on planting techniques, managing competition from weeds, and maintaining your meadow throughout the seasons.
