Description

We are looking for a grounds person who is aerial rescue trained to assist our lead climber and wider team in a range of tree surgery tasks .

We are an established family run business and we take pride in providing a professional service to our customers with a safe and enjoyable working environment for our team. We are Arboricultural Association accredited contractors.

The majority of our work is within or near to the Ashdown Forest - a stunning location to work in. We undertake domestic and commercial tree work. We specialise in technically challenging removals and reductions. In the winter there is some woodland management work and in the summer months there is some hedge cutting too.

If you are keen to develop your climbing skills there will be opportunity for this and you will be supported by the lead climber. There will also be opportunities for the right candidate to undertake further qualifications.

Salary is negotiable dependent on skills and experience. Full or part time applicants considered. Full time staff can choose to work their weekly 38hrs over 9 days in every 10, giving you an extra day off once a fortnight for other commitments or a long weekend!

Essential qualifications:

Full, clean driving license & trailer towing experience

NPTC Chainsaw Maintenance and Crosscutting

NPTC Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm

NPTC Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue

First Aid qualification

Good customer service and communication skills

Strong work ethic and team player

Desirable qualifications or willingness to train in;

NPTC Woodchipper

NPTC Aerial cutting of trees using free fall techniques

NPTC Medium trees
