The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Gardener Grounds Person to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with a genuine passion for horticulture and a drive to transform outdoor spaces into beautiful havens. Whether you are an experienced professional or a student with a minimum Level 2 qualification in a related subject, we welcome your application.
Responsibilities
As a Gardener Grounds Person, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the diverse landscapes under our care. Your main tasks will include:
• Bed management
• Mulching to retain soil moisture and improve fertility
• Cutting back and pruning plants to encourage healthy growth
• Hedging to maintain clean and aesthetically pleasing boundaries
• Lawn care and turfing to ensure lush, green spaces
• Weeding to keep gardens neat and free of invasive species
Candidate Profile
We are seeking someone with the following qualities and qualifications:
• Passion for Horticulture: A love for creating and maintaining beautiful gardens is essential.
• Plant and Soil Knowledge: A good understanding of plant care and soil management is highly desirable.
• Experience: Previous experience in gardening or groundskeeping is preferred, but we will also consider students with a minimum Level 2 qualification in a related subject.
• Year-Round Commitment: Our operations run throughout the year, so you'll need to be adaptable to seasonal tasks and weather conditions.
