Plumpton College Charitable Foundation (PCCF) Trustee 

Are you passionate about education, the land-based sector, or charitable impact? Do you have experience in business, fundraising, agriculture, food production, or event management? Join us in shaping the future as a Charity Trustee at Plumpton College Charitable Foundation (PCCF). 

We believe that every student should have the opportunity to further their education, no matter their personal circumstances. Some students face external barriers that make studying, attending and succeeding at college a struggle. The Plumpton College Charitable Foundation is here to provide support to students throughout their time at Plumpton College. 

We’re currently seeking a Trustee to join our established PCCF Board to support this important work. 

Role: Trustee (Voluntary) 
Location: Board meetings held in-person (approx. 3 per year) 
Time commitment: Minimal – attend three meetings annually and review relevant materials 
Reporting to: Chair of the PCCF

Plumpton College is a leading provider of land and environmental education in the UK, situated in the heart of the South Downs National Park. We offer a wide range of vocational and academic courses for students of all ages studying from level 1 to Masters degree and across nineteen subject areas including agriculture, animal management, veterinary sciences, horticulture, equine studies, wine, and environmental studies.

The Role 

As a Trustee of the PCCF, you will be part of a committed board responsible for overseeing the foundation's charitable activities, ensuring we remain focused on our mission and operate effectively and ethically. 

You'll contribute to: 

  • Guiding strategic direction 

  • Ensuring legal and financial compliance 

  • Evaluating impact and performance 

  • Upholding the Foundation’s values and vision 

  • Supporting fundraising and stakeholder engagement efforts 

About You 

We’re seeking individuals who share our values and have experience in one or more of the following areas: 

  • Fundraising and income generation 

  • Charity sector leadership 

  • Agriculture, land-based industries, or food production 

  • Campaign or event management 

  • Broad business or social networks 

You should be a collaborative, critical thinker with the confidence to contribute constructively and a commitment to public service values, including equality, transparency, and integrity.
