Description

As a Groundsman, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the high standards of the club’s grounds and polo fields. This is a hands-on role requiring dedication, attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining world-class facilities. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for ensuring the grounds are in peak condition for both play and visitor enjoyment.

 

Tasks include;

• Field Maintenance:

o Preparation and maintenance of polo fields to the highest standard, including mowing, irrigation, and vertidraining.

o Line marking of pitches in accordance with tournament regulations.

• Equipment Operation:

o Safe operation and maintenance of groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, tractors, aerators, and irrigation equipment.

o Performing routine equipment checks and minor repairs.

• Landscaping:

o General landscaping tasks, such as pruning, planting, weeding, strimming.

o Ensuring pathways, spectator areas, and car parks are clean, safe, and well-presented.

 

• Irrigation Management:

o Monitoring and managing irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and efficient use of resources.

• Event Support:

o Assisting with the setup and breakdown of polo events, including temporary infrastructure such as tents, seating, and barriers when required.

o Providing support during events to ensure smooth operations and pitch upkeep between games.
