Job Description
Section 1 – Purpose of the Position
a) To work on your own or as part of the team in the day-to-day gardening and maintenance work for Peak15 Services and additional external customers where required.
b) To work as part of the maintenance team to carry out the required works/repairs to a high standard.
c) To perform tasks in accordance with PPS and external customer policies and procedures.
d) To comply with all Health and Safety requirements, policies and procedures.
e) To carry out maintenance administration and paperwork as required.
f) To attend staff meetings, supervisions, training sessions and contribute to the promotion of good practice across the service.
g) Attend and participate in all statutory training and updates as required.
h) Comply with legislation as communicated.

a) To perform all tasks to high standards, in accordance with directions given.

Section 3 – Principal Responsibilities
a) To carry out gardening and maintenance work as instructed and required by way of a wide range of repairs/works internal and external; carpentry, fencing, general repairs, etc.
b) All work must be carried out in accordance with the current operational, Health and Safety and Maintenance procedures.
c) All work must be of a high standard.
d) To perform manual handling duties in accordance with manual handling instructions and guidelines.
e) To maintain tools and equipment and ensure they are used and stored safely.
f) To ensure van is kept clean and well organised.
g) To ensure workshop is kept tidy at all times.
h) To carefully read a works order form and ensure the correct tools and materials are available to carry out the repairs/works.
Section 4 – Team Working
a) To work in partnership with team members, service staff and Peak15 Head Office departments and other external parties/companies as appropriate.
b) To promote an open and inclusive culture with staff.
Section 5 – Administrative
a) Complete job sheets (electronically or on paper) after each finished works/repair.
b) Complete job requests on Click Up.
c) Complete daily time sheets.
Section 6 – Additional
a) Any other responsibilities within the reasonable capability and expectations of the role as discussed with Line Manager.
Section 7 – Working Environment and Potential Risks
a) Implications for health and safety; fire safety, electrical safety, manual handling, accident prevention.
b) Maintenance tools and power tools are a risk to self, staff, people we support and customers.
c) Use of ladders.
d) Working in Peak15 properties and external companies with people we support who from time to time display challenging behaviour which may be physical and/or verbal and/or behavioural in nature.
e) Protective equipment and clothing to be supplied as necessary.
f) Working in accordance with COSHH requirements.
g) Working hours are normal office hours Monday to Friday but may involve call-out during evenings and weekends.
h) Ability to drive company van.

Section 1 – Education and Qualifications
a) Driver (UK/European Driving Licence)
b) Basic plant knowledge
Section 2 – Experience
a) Previous experience in a maintenance role.
b) Evidence of being able to work in a team environment.
c) Evidence of being able to work on own initiative.
Section 3 – Skills, Knowledge and Training Courses
a) General skills in maintenance
b) Has attended practical training courses in one or more disciplines required by the role.
c) Good general written and verbal communication skills.
d) Competent use of hand and electrical tools.
e) Carpentry
f) Good knowledge of health and safety
g) Manual handling skills
