Description
The Sussex CAMHS Inpatient Transformation Programme is undergoing an exciting transformation to re-open the local young people's inpatient unit this autumn.
Working with young people, families and staff the project has focused on improving patient experience, safety, and outcomes. This work includes a redesigned clinical model, updated workforce structure, and an estates upgrade. The redesigned service will operate with a mix of general mental health and eating disorder beds.
As part of this journey, we are inviting volunteers to join us in creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for young people and their families receiving inpatient care.
We'd like volunteers to be an integral part of the team and support us to maintain the garden in between gardening groups. We have a contract for lawn cutting and hedge trimming. However, the we need additional support with the gardens to bring them to their full glory such as potting, growing veg, supporting patients in taking pride in the gardens etc.
If the volunteer would also like to join in with our group work to support patient engagement, that will be supported and can be worked towards following the correct procedures.
