Location: Stunning private gardens and country estates across Sussex
Hours: Flexible! Full-time or Part-time considered (for the right, reliable person)
Who We Are - We are Deakin Oak—a friendly, passionate, and tight-knit team originally founded by ex-Plumpton College students. We don't just "mow and blow"; we specialise in "nature" gardening and live by eco-friendly, sustainable practices that support local wildlife and biodiversity. We look after a regular list of lovely clients, meaning we get to spend our days working in some of the most beautiful, hidden-gem gardens in Sussex. Because we travel to different sites daily, no two days look the same! What You’ll Be Doing If you pride yourself on attention to detail and genuinely love the great outdoors, you’ll fit right in. Your daily tasks will include: 🌱 Planting & Pruning: Bringing gardens to life with seasonal care. 🌿 Weeding & Maintenance: Keeping borders crisp and healthy. 🌍 Eco-Gardening: Applying wildlife-friendly, sustainable methods. What We’re Looking For- A Passion for Plants: A good level of plant knowledge is highly desirable (bonus points if you went to Plumpton or a similar horticultural college!). An Eco-Mindset: Someone who cares about nature-focused gardening. Reliability: We are happy to be incredibly flexible with hours, but we need someone we can completely depend on.
