An excellent opportunity is available for a motivated, organised Graduate Ecologist within a supportive, forward-thinking consultancy practice. The role will be a mix of fieldwork and desk-based responsibilities and will provide valuable experience in key areas of ecological consultancy. Work will include data analysis, supporting other members of the team, drafting of reports, mapping, assisting with and (depending on experience and progression) leading habitat and protected species surveys and BNG assessments. Location: North-east England - remote working, though meeting up weekly with the team in a central location.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A good degree in a relevant subject

• Experience with GIS software

• Experience of undertaking bat or other protected species/habitat survey work is desired but not essential

• An understanding of Biodiversity Net Gain

• Excellent organisation and project management skills - a highly organised and motivated individual

• Be a strong team player, with strong verbal and written communication skills and a good eye for detail

• Ability to work under pressure during the busy survey season

• Ambition and drive

• Driving licence and own car essential
