Job description At Gold Hill Organic Farm preferably Start 6 April – 1 Oct 2026 but can start June to October 2026

Closing date 5 March 2026

We can offer people a very wide range of tasks, jobs and experiences involved with growing 30 different varieties of vegetables. In 35 years, no one has ever commented that they were bored. Every day is different and we make sure that tasks are varied and never continually just on one job.

We do this because we grow on

1) 47 raised beds with minimal till, all work done by hand

2) 4 acres of field veg where we use tractor mounted planter/weeders etc

3) 11 polytunnels

4) 25 acres woodland

5) 30 acres permanent pasture rented out for grazing/hay

You will be involved in all tasks from propagating seeds, preparing beds, weeding through various methods and harvesting for various outlets.

1) Gold Hill Organic Farm Shop

2) Landridge Organics, wholesaler.

3) The Kitchen @ Gold Hill (café)

4) The Secret Garden (Italian focaccia/cheese)

5) Local box system

6) Local community projects Gillingham (Dorset)

7) Excess left over from the Farm shop to The Pantry.

We have had French internships from an Ag college in Anger (ESA)coming to the farm for 25yrs and previously we have accommodated WWOOF's. So, we have experience in passing on our skills and many people who have worked here have gone on to run their own projects.

Renumeration for a 35hr/week Mon to Fri with one Sat/month

Plus, social media savvy would be advantageous. We are looking for someone who likes and is use to living with other people.

Additional information

We are very close to sustrans cycle route 25 which is easy to follow to all the local towns as far up as Salisbury and down to Poole.

Good local walks alongside St Edmunds Way and The Ridgeway (long distance)

45mins drive from Poole, Lulworth or Ringstead ( Jurassic coast)
