Description

Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their potential? Do you have the skills to engage, support and inspire students to stay on track with their education? If so, this could be the role for you.

We are seeking a Student Attendance and Engagement Coordinator to play a key role in supporting our 16–19 full-time students. This is a non-teaching position where you will work closely with our cohort leads to monitor attendance, implement support plans, and intervene early when barriers to learning arise.

You’ll bring experience of working with young people, a trauma-informed and relational approach, and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships. You’ll be proactive, organised, and committed to helping students overcome challenges, celebrate successes, and reach their goals.

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor and track student attendance, ensuring accurate records are maintained.

  • Support vulnerable learners with tailored interventions and “back on track” plans.

  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents/guardians, and external agencies to provide a joined-up approach.

  • Encourage, motivate, and celebrate student progress, fostering confidence and engagement.

What we’re looking for:

  • A Level 3 qualification (Youthwork, Teaching, or equivalent).

  • Experience working with young people in one-to-one and group settings.

  • Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills.

  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Employees also enjoy a range of lifestyle and wellbeing benefits such as eligibility for a TOTUM card and Blue Light Card, free eye tests, free use of our onsite gym, cycle-to-work scheme, discounted Plumpton wine and courses, free onsite parking, and an Employee Assistance Programme.

Our commitment to staff wellbeing and community is further demonstrated through regular networking events, active EDI and Sustainability committees, and social events at Christmas.

Interviews will take place on 7th October so if you are motivated to make a positive difference to young people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you.

We reserve the right to call candidates to interview/withdraw this vacancy at any time if there is a good level of response. Therefore, we recommend you submit your application as soon as possible.
