Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Do you want to be part of a team that empowers students to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
The Role:
As a Key Learning Mentor, you will:
- Provide specialist support for students with SEND, helping them develop personal, social, and employability skills.
- Work closely with Student Services to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Assist students in accessing welfare and counselling services, ensuring they have the support they need to succeed.
- Act as a key point of contact for students, liaising with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Support intervention work, attendance, retention, and student progress.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Experience working with young people with SEND.
- Strong pastoral, welfare, and/or safeguarding experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT proficiency and a minimum Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy.
Desirable:
- Specialist knowledge in SEND, SpLD, or health-related student support.
