Are you a passionate equine professional with a flair for teaching and a drive to develop the next generation of talent in the equestrian sector? We are looking for a highly motivated Equine Lecturer to join our dynamic Land and Environment College here at Plumpton. 

In this pivotal role, you’ll coordinate and deliver both practical and theoretical elements of our Level 2 and Level 3 Equine programmes. You will play a key role in shaping the student journey—bringing your industry expertise into the classroom and the riding arena and setting the standard for teaching excellence. 

What You'll Do: 

  • Deliver outstanding theory and practical lessons in equine studies and riding. 

  • Coach and assess a diverse cohort of students, helping them maximise their potential. 

  • Act as a personal tutor, supporting student welfare, personal development, and career progression. 

  • Engage in curriculum innovation, quality improvement, and collaborative teaching practices. 

  • Contribute to student recruitment, employer engagement, and the college’s strategic goals. 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification (BHS Stage 3 or 4 Instructor ideal). 

  • A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to achieve one. 

  • Recent, high-level industry experience, with a strong track record in riding instruction and coaching. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a student-centred approach. 

  • A strong commitment to continuous improvement, professional development, and safeguarding.
