Location: Plumpton College
Reporting to: Learning Technology Manager
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £25,829 - £29,762
Annual Leave: 26 electable days plus 8 statutory days
About the Role
We are seeking a Digital Learning Coach to become an integral part of our Teaching and Learning Team. In this essential role, you will contribute to the development of innovative digital education across the college, enhancing teaching and learning experiences for both staff and students in line with our mission to provide “unmissable learning experiences” for up to 5000 students per year. You'll provide essential training, support, and resources to improve digital capabilities, while actively contributing to our Digital Learning Strategy.
As a Digital Learning Coach, you will be confident in working with staff across a wide range of land-based curriculum areas to deliver comprehensive training and coaching, empowering our educators to effectively harness digital tools. You will be able to encourage adoption of new tools and technologies and lead by example through your passion for professional and digital development. Your efforts will foster a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learning, ensuring that Plumpton College stays at the forefront of technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate 1:1 and group training sessions to enhance staff capabilities in using learning technology. Your expertise will help improve their teaching, learning, and assessment practices.

Act as a pedagogical partner, guiding colleagues to creatively integrate technology into their teaching, thereby reducing workload and inspiring student engagement.

Advocate for innovative digital workflows, supporting staff in adapting to new technologies and methodologies, and addressing any concerns or hesitations they may have.

Collaborate with subject experts to design blended modules and implement the College’s Digital Learning Strategy, ensuring that our staff and students benefit from ongoing developments in learning technologies.

Act as a Digital Learning Coach, translating curriculum needs into innovative digital workflows that reduce staff workload.

Provide training and support with use of various IT platforms used within the College, such as ProMonitor, MS Teams, and Turnitin.

Research and evaluate new digital tools to enrich the educational experience.

Foster collaboration with external agencies to develop digital literacy.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential Criteria:
-
Level 2 in literacy and numeracy.
-
Relevant IT/Learning Technology qualifications or relevant experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.

Strong organisational skills and an attention to detail.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Desirable Criteria:
-
Level 3 teaching qualification or higher.

Knowledge of Management Information Systems and experience in further/higher education.
