We are seeking knowledgeable and enthusiastic Associate Lecturers in Animal Studies to join our lecturing team on a flexible, ad-hoc basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality education while supporting learners to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for progression into industry or further study.

The role

As an Associate Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and inclusive teaching across Animal Studies programmes, covering practical and theoretical elements as required. You will contribute to learner support, ensuring teaching practice aligns with awarding body requirements and the College’s quality standards. Flexibility is essential, as hours will vary in line with curriculum need.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Animal Studies

  • Assess learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback

  • Promote positive behaviour, safeguarding and learner wellbeing

  • Maintain accurate records in line with College and awarding body requirements

  • Work collaboratively with curriculum and support teams

About you

  • Relevant qualification in Animal Studies or a closely related discipline

  • Industry experience within an animal-related field

  • Teaching qualification is desirable but not essential

  • Strong communication skills and a learner-centred approach

  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusive practice
