Reception for The Prince’s Countryside Fund

Established in 2010, the aim of the fund is to improve the prospects of family farming businesses. As part of the fund there are a number of regional projects running.

Catherine Daw, Programme Manager for Agricultural Apprentices is currently the South East coordinator. Currently she is running a project called the Farm Resilience Fund, which has 15 farmer/producers delegates who have committed to it. The project offers support, mentoring and a programme of workshops over a 12 month period to help develop robust, sustainable businesses which are resilient to industry change and have future plans for succession.

HRH The Prince of Wales was deeply interested in all the delegates individual backgrounds and rural/farming businesses and how the The Princes Countryside Fund was making a difference and assisting them to make sustainable changes to secure their business futures.
