The RHS Level 3 Diploma in Horticulture is awarded when learners have
completed the following 3 qualifications:
- Level 3 Certificate in Practical Horticulture
- Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Plant Growth, Garden Planning and
applied Propagation - and the Level 3 Award in Horticulture Investigation.

How will I be assessed?
Each unit is assessed through practical activities and written assignments to test your knowledge and skillset.
In order to achieve this qualification, learners must complete and attain (pass, merit, distinction):
- Online Competence Assessment Test (multi-choice questionnaire)
- Plant identification test
- Practical Competence Assessment Test, made up of 3 tasks, assessed by an RHS examiner under exams conditions
