Meet the Team

Sophie Stapley
Hi, I’m Sophie. I have worked in student recruitment for over two years and am passionate about educating and inspiring students far and wide about the opportunities available within the land and environment sector. Through Schools Liaison at Plumpton College, I enjoy helping young people discover their potential, explore exciting career pathways and make the right choice for them as they take their next steps towards a rewarding future.

Sophie Holden
Hello, my name is also Sophie! I have been at Plumpton College now for three years where I first started in our admissions team before moving into my current role as Student Recruitment & Events Officer. One of my favourite parts of the role is talking to students about the land-based sector and the diverse career opportunities it offers. I enjoy helping young people explore their interests and discover pathways they may not have considered before.

Careers Fairs
For any stand-style careers events or careers fairs held at your school, we would be delighted to attend and speak with your students about Plumpton College. We can provide information about our courses, subject areas and progression routes, answer questions and help students discover whether a land-based career could be right for them.
Post-16 Events & Parents’ Evenings
For post-16 information evenings, usually held between September and December and attended by students and their parents or carers, we would be delighted to attend and represent Plumpton College. We can provide information about our courses, entry requirements, progression routes and student experience, while answering questions to help families make informed decisions about the next steps after GCSEs.
Campus Tours
A campus tour gives students the chance to experience life at Plumpton College. During the visit, learners will explore our stunning 800-hectare estate, learn about the land and environment sector and real working environments.
Please note: this is a 90‑minute tour, and while we aim to cover as much as possible, we cannot guarantee that students will be able to see everything during the visit. For health and safety/ safeguarding reasonings, majority of the tour will take place outdoors, so we recommend wearing sensible footwear.
