Description
Role: Learning Resources Coordinator
Salary: £31,677 to £35,496
Contract: Permanent, all year round
Hours: Full-time, 37.5h per week
Plumpton College is seeking a dedicated and motivated Learning Resources Coordinator to join our Teaching and Learning Team. Reporting directly to the Director of Quality, Teaching & Learning, this crucial role is integral to the management of our College Library and Learning Resources, ensuring that both physical and digital resources are of the highest quality for our vibrant community of students and staff. With a focus on fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment, the Coordinator will enhance the independent study experiences and digital literacy of our learners.
The successful candidate will oversee the effective operation of the Library and Learning Resources, managing day-to-day activities to create a welcoming study space for all students. Responsibilities include the procurement and management of resources, responding to inquiries in line with the Library Service Level Agreement, and maintaining an accessible collection that meets curriculum demands. Collaborating closely with both the Digital Learning Team and academic staff, you will also play a key role in promoting the use of IT services and delivering training sessions to ensure users can efficiently access library resources.
We are looking for someone who possesses strong organisational skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and a proactive, self-motivated attitude. Essential qualifications include experience in a library or educational resource environment, knowledge of cataloguing systems, and a solid understanding of digital learning tools. A minimum of GCSE English and Maths at grade 'C' is required, alongside strong digital skills, particularly in MS Office. A library qualification and experience in further education settings would be advantageous.
