Plumpton College is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in administering bursary and student support funds, ensuring compliance with government regulations and college policies.
What you’ll do:

Lead on bursary applications, providing advice and guidance to students and parents.

Assess financial circumstances and calculate entitlements accurately.

Maintain clear communication and promote bursary schemes through events and presentations.

Keep accurate records and reconcile bursary funds.

Support the Finance team with month/year-end reporting and other finance tasks.

Contribute to continuous improvement and departmental KPIs.
What we’re looking for:

Level 2 or higher qualification in Maths and English.

Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel.

Previous experience in a busy Finance department.

Excellent communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach.

Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and use initiative.
