Adult Maths GCSE

This course is aimed at individuals 19+ who are wanting to get into higher education, enrol in an apprenticeship, improve their skills or get a promotion, but don’t have the required level of qualification.

This course enables learners to: 

· develop fluent knowledge, skills and understanding of mathematical methods and concepts 

· acquire, select and apply mathematical techniques to solve problems

 · reason mathematically, make deductions and inferences and draw conclusions 

· comprehend, interpret and communicate mathematical information in a variety of forms appropriate to the information and context.

To achieve GCSE Maths you need to complete the following components:

• Non-Calculator Exam – 2hrs 15 mins – 14^th May
• Calculator Exam – 2 hrs 15 mins – 27^th May

• Anyone who doesn’t already hold a Level 2 Functional Skill or GCSE Grade C/4 and above is eligible for this course
• Some basic level of maths is recommended
