Course Overview
You will learn how to safely prepare, maintain and operate a manually fed wood chipper. This course is especially relevant for forestry, arboriculture and local amenity workers.
This course is a 1-day course with NPTC integrated training and assessment.

Entry Requirements
Please remember to bring a form of ID with you
- First aid kit - this is required for the assessment
- A safety helmet, complying with EN 397
- Eye protection (a mesh visor complying with EN 1731 or safety glasses to EN 166).
- Hearing protection (complying with EN 352).
- Gloves with long, close-fitting cuffs that can be tucked into sleeves.
- Safety boots with good grip and ankle support (complying with EN 345-1).
- Non-snag outer clothing appropriate to the prevailing weather conditions.
