Course overview
Plumpton College is launching its first land-based course to the adult
community of Hastings. The Firs is a site very much in the development stage and
we have designed a programme that will lead on the horticultural and wider
estate developments. This course will enable participants to learn new skills,
gain a Level 2 qualification and leave a lasting legacy in the development of
Education Futures Trust.
The course is designed to introduce learners to the land-based sector and
highlight the impact a role in conservation and management has on our natural
environment. A combination of those all important practical skills that support
the underpinning theory.
In conjunction with Education Futures Trust, we have a site master plan that
enable learners to gain real life working experience of developing an
environment and transforming it for the benefit for those studying and the
service users accessing the site.
