Course overview
During this certificate of competence course you will learn how to safely
prepare, maintain and operate a manually fed wood chipper. This course is
especially 0relevant for forestry, arboriculture and local amenity workers.
This course is a 1-day course with NPTC integrated training and assessment.
Entry Requirements:
- Age 16+
Equipment required:
- Please remember to bring a form of ID with you
- First aid kit – this is required for the assessment
- A safety helmet, complying with EN 397
- Eye protection (a mesh visor complying with EN 1731 or safety glasses to
EN 166). - Hearing protection (complying with EN 352).
- Gloves with long, close-fitting cuffs that can be tucked into
sleeves. - Safety boots with good grip and ankle support (complying with EN
345-1). - Non-snag outer clothing appropriate to the prevailing weather
conditions.
