What is it like to be a student on this course?
You’ll explore everything from canine anatomy, biomechanics and common health conditions to behaviour, breed-specific considerations and therapeutic handling techniques. As your confidence grows, you’ll learn how to carry out clinical assessments, monitor patient health, manage risk, deliver safe and effective hydrotherapy treatments, and respond to emergencies.
You’ll also gain an understanding of hydrotherapy suite design, water management, sustainable practice, and the legal, ethical and professional responsibilities that come with working in the industry.
You’ll spend one day a week on campus, combining interactive classroom sessions with practical experience in our purpose-built hydrotherapy suite. Working with canine patients in both the pool and underwater treadmill, you’ll put your learning into practice throughout the course.
Outside of your weekly campus day, you’ll complete coursework to reinforce your knowledge and support your progression.
