Course overview

Discover how colour can transform the dynamic
character and experience of a garden.
Colour is one of the most powerful
tools available to the garden designer. Used thoughtfully, it can create
atmosphere, guide movement, emphasise focal points and influence how we
experience a space.
This one-day course introduces colour theory through a
garden design lens. We will explore colour relationships and examine how plant
colour changes through the seasons, types of light, planting combinations and
species selection.
The course is a hands on workshop feel day to interpret
the traditional colour wheel to consider how foliage, flowers, bark, seedheads
and hard landscape materials can all contribute to a garden’s colour
palette.
