An event series focusing on the far reaching topic of Food. From health to waste, security, education and the environment. The Food For Thought series will focus on the necessary actions required to ensure a more secure, healthier and fairer UK food system, accessible to all.

For this inaugural event we are thrilled to welcome three outstanding speakers, focusing on global, national, and local food focused priorities.

Dr Stuart Gillespie, author of Food Fight: From Plunder and Profit to People and Planet. Stuart will shine a light on the historical evolution of global food systems. From colonial times, thorough to the last half century of progressive corporate capture.

Natalie Pearson, Food Coordinator for Lewes District Food Partnership, representing the Sussex Alliance of Food Partnerships (SAFP), highlighting the important role of Food Partnerships in making local food systems more healthy, sustainable, and equitable and the opportunity Brighton and Sussex Devolution can bring to achieving this.

Following the talks, an audience led panel discussion with the speakers (Tess Hart, Food Partnership Coordinator for Rother will be representing SAFP) will be held, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage and share perspectives on shaping a more resilient and equitable food system.
