Modules
Go beyond day-one skills with this dynamic CPD course designed to deepen your clinical knowledge and expand your non-technical capabilities. This blended learning programme combines expert-led online modules with hands-on, in-person training to empower you in every aspect of patient care.
Module 1: Human Factors & Patient Safety
- Led by Helen Silver-McMahon, human factors expert and founder of How to Thrive, this module explores the foundations of safer practice. Learn to identify potential threats, improve communication, and confidently advocate for your patients.
Module 2: Anaesthesia Deep Dive
- Join Courtney Scales as she guides you through the complexities of general anaesthesia. From capnography and ECGs to ASA scoring and troubleshooting, this module will boost your confidence and competence in monitoring and managing anaesthesia.
Modules 3–5: Emergency & Critical Care in Practice
- Delivered by Sam Thompson, these modules focus on real-world ECC scenarios including head trauma, shock, BOAS patients, and pain management. You'll explore care bundles, case-based discussions, and quality improvement strategies to implement in your own practice.
Final Module: CPR Practical Workshop
- Conclude your journey with an in-person CPR session, combining theory with a practical, hands-on workshop to solidify your skills and confidence in emergency response.

Entry Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification and be Registered Veterinary Nurses. There is no required minimum period post-qualification to be eligible for this course.
