We are currently embarking on a £9m Agri-Food investment programme, so it is an exciting time to be joining our team.
Plumpton College has a long-established Butchery provision with a strong reputation of providing excellent trained professionals into the local and national industry. We are currently seeking a highly experienced and well qualified butcher to deliver outstanding educational experience in butchery and manage the college’s butchery facility to ensure that it operates to the highest industry standards. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate a passion for passing on the skills and knowledge required for the new generation of butchers. The successful candidate will have experience of both managerial and professional butchery. This will be supported by qualifications in health & safety, food safety and HACCP.

This role is offered on a full-time basis but part-time hours will also be considered. Salary offered for the role between £23,131 - £30,208 depending on experience (and pro rata for part-time hours). The successful candidate can also look forward to a great range of benefits including 37 days holiday plus bank holidays (as well as up to 5 efficiency days at Christmas), membership of the Teachers Pension Scheme, cycle to work scheme, on-site gym and a range of staff discounts.
