About the Role: Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of metalsmiths and blacksmiths? Plumpton College is looking for a dynamic and skilled Lecturer to join our innovative and expanding team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of teaching, learning, and assessment, inspiring students to unlock their full potential and preparing them for success in their studies and future careers.
We are open to applications from candidates wishig to explore full or part-time hours, including sessional delivery of evening and weekend classes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons to ensure consistently high student outcomes in metalsmithing and blacksmithing.
- Foster student development in essential skills, including English and mathematics.
- Embrace technology to enhance the learning experience, using modern tools and platforms.
- Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their personal and professional growth.
- Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvements, and continuous professional development.
- Support students beyond the classroom through personal tutoring and extracurricular activities.

What We’re Looking For:
- A degree or professional qualification in a relevant field.
- Industry experience in metalsmithing or blacksmithing.
- A teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
- A strong commitment to student success and collaboration.
