Since the 23rd of March the College, in response to the National Coronavirus restrictions, went into lockdown and moved to deliver remote education and learning.
We have all followed the Government advice and have been restricted to leaving our homes for essential reasons only. The College have maintained a core number of staff to manage essential provisions for our animals, ensuring their well-being and ensuring the fabric of the buildings and grounds are maintained.
As the National Coronavirus position starts to improve, there will be a need and a desire to start to return to some sort of normal. Plumpton College believes that this must be done in as safe a way as possible. This means, that whilst we are never able to eliminate all risk, we can take all reasonable steps to mitigate that risk.
In order to do this the College Management Teams have consulted with staff and their union to ensure that we maintain our collaborative approach to delivering a safe environment for them, our students and visitors to all of our sites.
This collaboration requires that we put in place new controls and the College has developed Coronavirus Core Expectations that everyone must adhere to. This is a personal guarantee that you will follow the measures that have been put in place and assist the College in ensuring that these measures are followed by others at all times.
The College commits to regularly reviewing these measures and updating its Risk Assessments to ensure we are taking the right steps at the right time for all of our safety and well-being.
