Position Overview

Main roles and responsibilities include:

Vine pruning and tying down.

Trellis maintenance

Canopy management.

Tractor driving using a variety of implements (trimming, mulching, leaf stripping, mowing, cultivating.)

Spraying vine canopy and weeds.

Assisting with frost prevention during the spring.

Vineyard data collection and record keeping.

Member of grape collection team during harvest.

Experience/skills required :

Vineyard or fruit tractor driving experience.

Recognised Certificate of competence for tractor driving (eg. Lantra / City & Guilds)

Basic viticultural knowledge.

Experience or understanding of safe handling and use of pesticides PA1 & PA3

IT skills: MS Office, Word and Excel.

Car driver preferred - the role will be based at 3 locations so ability to travel to them is essential.
