Description

Are you seeking to supercharge a hospitality career?

Cellar Magnifique is an award-winning bar, cafe, and events organiser in the heart of Surrey and just 25 mins by train from Central London. Together, we create magical nights, bringing together unique wine, artisan food, and an intimate vibe. We deliver live music, tastings, art exhibitions and indoor markets. We build relationships with locals and welcome new visitors with gusto. Our concept combines service and product excellence with a relaxed ambiance.

Who we are looking for a Supervisor to lead the bar on a smaller service (or act as a senior member of the team on our largest services), drive more junior team members' personal development, oversee bar opening and shut down, and drive key growth initiatives (e.g. run our events programme, drive marketing). You will lead from the front in all parts of the business (front of house, bar, kitchen) on shift, whilst being able to work independently and efficiently on management tasks outside the bar.

You are working in the hospitality, events, or retail industries (or similar). You do not need to be a wine expert (we will train you), but you do need to be passionate about fine food and drink. You have developed your career and have begun your management journey (e.g. running shifts, running events). You have an ownership mindset and pride in delivering excellence. You "rinse your cottage cheese" by exhibiting role model enthusiasm and self-discipline. You can solve bar problems as they arise. You build lasting relationships with customers. You can write a memo or a blog post. You are full of ideas.

In return, we offer a fantastic employment package:

- Excellent pay. Target pay of £14.5 to £16.5 per hour depending on experience (comprised of £10.5 to £12.5 base and around £3.5 to £4.5 per hour in tips)

- Good hours. Work five days a week on regular shifts (typically 5 or 7 hours per shift). We close the bar on Mondays and try to give our team a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday off to spend time with friends and family. The team works together to cover sickness, holiday, and one-off events

- Qualification support. We fund the WSET wine knowledge curriculum as well as a range of other qualifications (e.g. food safety, first aid, etc...)

- Career coaching and development. We have a top tier personal development programme with bi-annual pay reviews, internal and external coaching, trips to the largest tasting events, etc...

- Progression opportunities. We are excited about growth and have secured the funding to deliver it. In due course, you could run our marketing, help launch our daytime cafe concept, or help open a new location
