NFU Mutual’s Canterbury & Sittingbourne Agency is currently recruiting for a Graduate Farming Account Handler.
We are recruiting for an individual who is confident and can apply their farming experience to assist the Agency in delivering the award-winning service that NFU Mutual has become renowned for.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual, undertaking the ongoing responsibility and account management of our farming and commercial customers. We believe in taking the time to find products and services to meet our client’s needs, inspiring trust and building long term relationships by exceeding expectations.
The role will include servicing and renewing our existing book of farming customers, as well as securing new farming business opportunities. You will provide technical advice to ensure our customers insurance needs are met, along with identifying any gaps in cover and gaining cross selling opportunities. We also would expect you to exceed targets and promote the organisation at every turn.
You will be liaising with clients, Agents and underwriters, therefore strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner are a must. Along with professional literacy skills, you will have good farming knowledge and be a highly organised individual with a positive and can-do attitude. The role will require you to work from the office and to visit clients face to face at their businesses and farms. Previous experience of working within a similar role is desirable, but not essential due to training for the role being provided inhouse.
As well as the above, you will also be assisting the NFU group secretaries with their union duties and NFU subscriptions. This will include attending NFU events and breakfast meetings on occasions.
In return, you will receive full training in a friendly and supportive environment. Your salary will be based on previous experience and the position is full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm, based at our office in Canterbury.
Please note that you'll be employed by an Agent of NFU Mutual and not by NFU Mutual directly.
