Description

A large scale, first-class boarding cattery in West Sussex is seeking a passionate, hardworking and dedicated individual to join a family run business.

We pride ourselves with the high standards of care that each of our guests receives, with them all being loved and cared for as if they are our own. The overall care and safety of each of our boarders is our highest concern with all of guests being treated as an individual. We expect all of our staff to give 100% with all aspects of their work and for each of our team members to provide a 5-star service. The candidate would need to work well within a team but to also be able to work effectively and efficiently on their own. Time keeping is crucial as our day runs on a time specific routine that must be fulfilled.

All applicants must have a great love for all animals and previous experience of working within an animal-based setting is desirable. The working hours cover seven days a week therefore, hours will include some weekend and bank holiday working. It is advised that applicants should hold a driving licence due to our rural location and the lack of rail/bus links.

Being an outdoor cattery, the candidate should be prepared to work in all weather conditions; You get a wonderful tan during the Summer months but the Winter can be cold! This is a physically demanding, fast paced role that will require the individual to be able to adapt to changing circumstances on a daily basis, more so during our peak seasons.

We have good working relationships with all of the local Vets in the area and we look after an array of pussycats some of whom suffer varied health complaints that require close monitoring and great care, this would be a great opportunity for any students who are currently studying Plumpton's animal management course as this experience will go on to provide hands on key-skills to help and build knowledge and act as a steeping stone to move onto your desired profession.

Please apply with your CV and a cover letter outlining why you would fit this and please include how many hours you are interested in working.

Please note that any applications received without a cover letter will not be considered.

Your CV and cover letter should be sent to:

Danielle and Shane Quested

We look forward to hearing from you!
