As an Adventure Leader at Cuffley ALC You will be inspiring young minds in their adventure, taking them through such activities as climbing, archery, low ropes, high ropes, problem solving. Successful candidates will undertake a comprehensive training programme to enable them to deliver these activities, and more, in a safe and fun way.

You will be responsible for delivering high quality multi activity and environmental programmes (both day and residential). You will ensure that our high level of pastoral care is maintained and safeguarding with Health and Safety at the forefront of every single session. Activities are based around multi activity ranging from high ropes, gladiator, leap of faith and much more we also incorporate target sports to traditional bushcraft skills like fire lighting and shelter building. This role requires enthusiasm, passion, energy, and a desire to lead by example. You will be a role model for our young people, ensuring they leave camp with positive memories that will last them a lifetime.

Training courses in water- based activities, mountain activities, facilitation and others will enable you to progress your career in the outdoors with ALC and by experiencing life as an instructor at our amazing centres across England and Wales.

Cuffley Active Learning Centre (ALC) is set in 90 acres of outstanding natural beauty in south-east Hertfordshire, just 15 minutes from the M25. The predominantly woodland site offers a blend of multi- activity and environmentally - focussed residential and day courses, that are designed to promote the development of Essential Skills, Character and Wellbeing.

No qualifications are required for this role, as all applicants will complete in-house training and our mentoring scheme before working on one of our camps. However, you do need plenty of enthusiasm and a sense of fun.
