Full time position (hours vary depending on season)

We are a 12 acre organic vegetable farm which sells direct to customers through our veg box home deliveries and markets. We are a well established small business that has been delivering organic fruit and veg since 1997. 

We have both indoor (glasshouses and poly tunnels) and outdoor cropping areas, producing a variety of crops 52 weeks of the year for our customers. 

We are looking for two new members of staff. 

1) Outdoor crop grower managing an area of around 5 acres. 
2) Indoor/undercover cropping area grower, producing crops in our polytunnels and glasshouses. 

Both roles involve managing all aspects of organic crop production at the farm. This includes sowing, cultivation, transplanting, weeding, organic crop husbandry and crop rotation planning. 

The roles are physically demanding but equally rewarding and the applicant must be self motivated, able to work quickly and efficiently and be used to long hours (especially in the summer) in all weathers.

Holiday time will be limited between the months of May and September as this is the busiest time of the year.

The ideal person will have previous experience of indoor and/or outdoor crop production. Whilst also having previous experience of tractor driving (can be trained if necessary).

The successful applicants must have good attention to detail, be organised and practically minded.
