Arboricultural Consultants and Graduate Technicians wanted!

(Commensurate with experience - company car, expenses, generous CPD budget and bi-annual bonus)

Ground Control are an award-winning arboricultural provider with a annual group turnover in excess of £120m. The core of our business specialises in supporting large blue chip clients operating within high compliance and high-risk multi-site environments e.g Network Rail, Western Power Distribution, Goodwood Estate, Thames, Anglian and Severn Trent Water, 

Our consultancy department are looking to recruit both arboricultural and forestry post graduates to work on exciting design and construction projects across the country. The roles will cover a wide variety of tasks, including but not limited to; report writing (BS5837), timber and biomass evaluation, tree and woodland management plans, environmental & landscape impact assessments, auditing, estimation, supervision and interdepartmental support across the wider Ground Control business for all things tree related.

This is a field based role and therefore a driving licence, willingness to travel and work in the elements is essential. Applicants must possess both an AA QCF qualification at level 4+ and LANTRA PTI status.

Essential Skills

•  The ability to lone work and self-manage

•  Strong tree identification skills, their timber characteristics and associated pests and diseases

•  An understanding and awareness of statutory legislation relevant to both arboriculture and ecology

•  Computer literate, and proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Desirable Skills/Qualifications

•  Prior local authority/consultancy experience including the use of QTRA, TRAQ, Helliwell, CAVAT etc.

•  Prior experience with GIS mapping /tree survey software

•  Operational experience within the sector

•  PTS, IWA and CSCS
