Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club is now offering an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Grounds Person to join our grounds maintenance team on an initial two year contract.

This role will be responsible for carrying out work required on the training ground pitches and associated grounds and facilities to a satisfactory level whilst adhering to the highest standards of Health and Safety. The successful applicant will undertake an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Sports Turf maintenance and will be required to attend college on a day release programme which will be included as part of the working hours.

The successful candidate will be based at our state of the art training facility, the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, in Lancing. The site consists of ten pitches of natural grass and four artificial grass pitches.

There will be a minimum of 40 hours per week and the post holder must be flexible with regards to working hours as these will be dependent on match fixtures and usage of the facility. The successful candidate will be prepared to become a member of the Institute of Groundsmanship and will preferably have an understanding of Health and Safety at Work principles.
