Description
Three-year fixed term.
Bentley Wood Charitable Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our woodland management team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a motivated team working to extend and improve areas of wood pasture, coppice and a network of managed wide rides to benefit wildlife within Bentley Wood SSSI.
Working under the supervision of our Woodland Manager the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery and reporting of the environmental outcomes specified in the Trust’s Countryside Stewardship Agreement to improve these habitats. Some knowledge of these habitats and associated species will be useful.
A passion for wildlife, a strong interest in conservation and woodland management and the ability to demonstrate competence and experience in practical woodland management activities are essential. The successful candidate will also need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
