Two Day Course
We have invited the international consulting and training company Simonit & Sirch to introduce their world famous pruning technique to the UK.
The course starts on Monday afternoon (13.30-16.15) with an introductory lecture, followed by a Q&A session to allow delegates to discuss the key ideas underlying their pruning technique. It then continues on the following morning, when smaller groups of delegates will attend one of three 75 minute practical demonstations (8am, 9am, and 11am) at Plumpton's Rock Lodge Vineyard near Haywards Heath.
Simonit & Sirch is a consulting and training company in vine pruning and training. Known as the "pruninguys" they have developed a pruning method over 30 years, which they now transfer to vinegrowers throughout the world.
The Simonit & Sirch Method is based on four fundamental principles applicable to all vine training systems: shaping the structure, respecting vascular flow, minimising wounds, and leaving protective wood. Based on traditional practices, this technique is designed to ensure that your vines lead a healthier and longer life.
