This masterclass will discuss the necessary steps and precautions needed to produce high-quality still red and white wines in a (very) cool climate.
A highly-respected wine consultant from Burgundy will first talk about how to ensure the perfect ripening of grapes, and then present the different vinification and ageing methods used by some of his key clients.
The masterclass will conclude with a practical wine tasting, highlighting key aspects of the day's theory.

Charles-Antoine Géhin is oenologist-consultant for Moreau Oenologie. He has a National Diploma in Oenology from Dijon University and a degree in food-processing Engineering from Lemgo (Germany). He has travelled extensively and made wine with Freestone Vineyards (California), Indevin Ltd. (New-Zealand), Domaine Jacques Prieur (France, Meursault), and Maison Champy (France, Beaune).
Since 2009, Charles-Antoine Géhin has been working as oenologist-consultant in several countries including:
• France (Domaine Bizot, Clos des Lambrays…);
• Austria (Johanneshof Reinisch GmbH, Winzerkeller Neckenmarkt…);
• Germany (Weingut Koch…).
