The Level 2 Diploma for Veterinary Nursing Assistants qualification provides a pathway to veterinary nursing.

This programme supports and prepares learners for a career as a veterinary nursing assistant by giving them the opportunity to gain the knowledge and practical skills necessary to work safely and competently in a veterinary environment.

As well as studying animal anatomy and physiology, and the principles of animal handling and care, learners will obtain key administrative skills.

Learners will undertake this qualification on a  part-time basis and clinical placement within a veterinary practice is essential.

Veterinary nursing assistants are able to go on to study for the Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.
