RHS have produced theory based qualifications for those wanting a route to employment in professional horticulture or further personal interest. Designed to be studied individually on a part-time basis they're flexible to any schedule. The RHS Level 2 Diploma is awarded to those that who successfully achieve in both the theory based examinations and the practical based assessments.
This theory based qualification provides a comprehensive understanding of the principles that underpin professional practices and theories which support horticulture techniques. Each Unit is assessed by written examinations at the end of your course.
This online course will be delivered via live, interactive online workshops and seminars, giving you all the benefits of a real-life classroom in the comfort of your own home. You will benefit from learning with and interacting with likeminded individuals, it really is an online classroom environment.
Learning will be delivered through our online learning platform, Microsoft Teams, we provide you with a real class environment and interaction with peers as well as the ability to provide private or group working spaces, storage for course resources and most importantly, access to your tutor throughout the day on your scheduled days of learning.
In addition to our online classroom we will be providing an onsite experiential day at One Garden Brighton for all students. This will supplement the online learning and when the national picture is more clear we will be in position to release the date.
RHS Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Horticulture are awarded upon completion of both RHS theory courses.

There is no requirement for previous knowledge or experience needed for entry to the qualifications, although we strongly recommend you undertake the Certificate in Plant Growth, Propagation and Development prior to this certificate as the underpinning knowledge gained there will be applied in this qualification. A keen interest and enthusiasm is, of course, key to success. |
