Spend a wonderful day at One Garden Brighton, home of our Stanmer Campus, and learn from our expert Plumpton College Horticulture tutors, to understand how to identify trees and what sugns to look for in identifying tree health

The workshop will give you a gentle introduction to the world of trees

During the workshop you will learn:

- how to identify trees in Stanmer Park using identication keys

- the benefits and ecosystem services that trees provide us with

- the basics of biosecurity and the need to know the potential problems facing our trees

- best practice for looking after our urban forests and promoting mycorrhizal networks

Also during your workshop get a tour of trees in the localised area.

The recent restoration of the walled garden has been managed by Plumpton College. One Garden Brighton is the home of the college’s horticultural centre of excellence, a space for training and education. The campus buildings are nestled within the walls itself and you will see students designing, planting and maintaining the grounds as a showcase for innovation.
