A ONE-DAY COURSE TO INTRODUCE GROWING YOUR OWN SEASONAL VEGETABLES INTO YOUR LIFESTYLE
Spend a wonderful day at One Garden Brighton, home of our Stanmer Campus, and learn from expert Plumpton College Horticulture tutors, to learn new skills on understanding the principles and practices of growing your own vegetables.
This one-day course available to join on either 24th or 25th February will take your knowledge on growing your own vegetables to the next level, by demonstrating plenty of practical skills to understand and take away to maximise your own kitchen garden plot.
You will be led by Plumpton College horticulture tutors and use private teaching and learning glasshouses, potting sheds and are able to take full advantage of the One Garden Brighton Kitchen Garden, which grows seasonal vegetables to supply our chefs at our destination eatery at One Kitchen, and also provides fresh vegetables to purchase at One Market.

DURING THIS INTRODUCTION COURSE YOU WILL LEARN:
- Soil preparation
- Focus on soil structure and soil science
- Crop planting and protection
- Problems associated with growth and how to prevent pests and diseases
