Inclusive Learning and Development
Discover our Outreach programme
Coming back into education should be exciting and inspiring; instead, it may feel daunting and overwhelming.
The Outreach programme at Plumpton has been created with this in mind. It offers a flexible and bespoke transition to full-time education for young people, starting with individual sessions either in college or virtual.
The Outreach programme will allow young people to explore different land-based and personal development themes. This is through project- based units that they are interested in and this will help them to identify possible courses or careers in the future. It will also give the young people an idea of what studying at Plumpton College might be like.
Once students enroll, they will aim to start attending for one day. This will be increased and they will be supported to eventually attend a 3-day programme in small groups, which will include English and Maths if they have not yet achieved a grade 4 in GCSE or level 2 in Functional skills.
The Plumpton College Outreach programme aims to meet the needs of young people who are struggling to find their feet in education. We very much hope that it will have a positive impact on everyone who takes part – and help them to be confident about their next steps and potential career choices.
