This course is aimed at people who would like to understand the basics of horticulture. It is aimed at beginners or people who are thinking of horticulture as a possible future career.
This online course covers the theory behind soils, planting through the seasons, planting for food and habitat creation. It will bring an overview to identifying plants to create a display across all seasons and to make spaces for wildlife.
It will give a broad underpinning knowledge for those who want to optimise vegetable growing through the calendar year and design an edible planting scheme.
The course will be delivered as ‘live’ sessions with your tutor delivering the content as you would expect. Through our online learning platform, Microsoft Teams, we can provide you with a real class environment and interaction with peers as well as the ability to provide private or group working spaces, storage for course resources and most importantly, access to your tutor throughout the day on your scheduled days of learning.
