This 10 week course will introduce you to a range of professional propagation techniques, bringing plants on both indoors and outdoors.

The course will cover both seed sowing methods and vegetative propagation techniques. 


Bringing on seeds indoors, under protection, in a range of containers and outdoors in prepared seedbeds will include instruction on pricking out, potting on, potting up and growing on. You will find out about the types and appropriate use of different growing media and how to avoid pests and diseases.


The principles behind and methods of a range of seasonal vegetative propagation techniques will be explored along with the skills associated with aftercare required to establish new plants.

A general interest in propagating plants
